Lament
Shot this a couple weeks back on 4x5. So today I went to order some more sheet film. I thought I'd get some 400 speed film for the 4x5, and saw that Kodak has discontinued the 400 speed in their color negative film. I guess this happened recently, maybe its just been a while since I tried to order any. But this sucks. Seems they discontinued the 400 speed in 120 as well. Hopefully they replace with something new. I can wish.

Old stuff
I use to shoot with a Leica. For a minute anyway. This is from many years ago, but I came across it recently and thought it was interesting to look at what I'd done before. This is from a time when I occasionally worked in black and white. It wasn't often, but I tend to like these for what they are. Most of the work I did before the last couple years was crap. I find these interesting enough, but My God, what could I have been thinking with so much of my work? As I looked through, it was apparent to me what I was attempting to do. At certain instances I could see myself moving toward actualizing my vision, but then I'd stray off and miss. Looking at work from this time is frustrating because the hits are few and very far between.
Oh, and the parade float. Snow Queens? Come on, you can't get much better than that.

Burton Street
Over the last couple weeks I made an effort to photograph some of the snowscapes. So here's another scene of the landscape altered by winter. Last year I made a series of snow landscapes. The weather added an element of isolation, cold and of course snow. Not sure I'll do as many this year. In the hopes for a mild winter, I don't want as much snow.
