New website

Ok, here it is. My new website. I had to find out how to do this screenshot thing to show this. Seems like it should be a lot easier. Well its pretty easy, I just had no idea how. Now I'm gonna just post images of screenshots, cause whenever I see people do that I think its pretty cool, mostly cause I didn't know how.

So the site isn't done, but it's got some stuff up. I'll be adding more over the summer. Hopefully more videos, music and projects that are in the works.

Watercolors Project

The 22"x30" watercolors for my final project.

My line. These are supposed to be meditative and practiced for years, but this was one of my first tries. No, this was my first. So needless to say, its probably missing that whole years of practice and reflection thing. Plus I'm just some American painting in a style from a culture I don't know. But that doesn't ever seem to stop anyone, now does it? Nevertheless, it is mine. And it is what it is. That's my zen moment and attitude about this.

I've found painting can be a satisfying enterprise. My technique is suspect, but whatever. Remember, its better to do something wrong than to do nothing at all.

More Watercolors

Here are some more watercolors. Working on my final project now. The top image is a Yugo with a nice marbled background.

This was made in Asheville, off of I-40. There were many other photos I made in Sylva, NC last week after severe storms came through the area. This is a theme I'm working on; things having to do with accidents. The project will also be including video, which I've begun shooting.

Light Factory Installation pics

Here are some installation pics of my photographs from the opening of the 4th Annuale at the Light Factory on June 4th. The show is up through September 25th.

The catalog is now available and can be ordered through Blurb.

These are a couple of recent watercolors I did for a class. I'm working on my final project now, painting large 20"x30" watercolors.
